Oilers Tie Stars Series with 5-2 Win in Game 4

Edmonton Evens Series, Forces Best-of-Three

The Edmonton Oilers battled back from an early 2-0 deficit to defeat the Dallas Stars 5-2 in Game 4 of the Western Conference Final on Monday night at Rogers Place.

After the Stars scored twice in the first 5:29 of the game, the Oilers responded with two goals before the period was out. Zach Hyman and Evan Bouchard scored to tie the game.

The Oilers took control of the game in the second period, holding the Stars to just 15 shot attempts and one high-danger opportunity. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Leon Draisaitl scored in the second to give the Oilers a 4-2 lead.

Connor McDavid added an empty-net goal in the third period to seal the win.

The Oilers now head to Dallas for Game 5 on Wednesday night. The Stars lead the series 3-2, but the Oilers have shown that they are not going to go down without a fight.
