Romania Rugby Squad Announced

Star-Studded Roster Includes Florin Vlaicu

Bucharest, Romania - The Romanian Rugby Federation (RRF) has announced the squad for the upcoming 2023-2024 season, which features several familiar faces and rising stars.

Headlining the roster is Florin Vlaicu, a highly skilled scrum-half with over 100 caps for Romania. Vlaicu is known for his exceptional vision, passing ability, and ability to control the tempo of the game.

Joining Vlaicu is a host of talented players, including young prop Andrei Ursache, who made a name for himself last season with his powerful runs and solid defense, and experienced back-rower Valentin Calafeteanu, a versatile and athletic player who can cover multiple positions.

The 33-man squad, selected by head coach Eugen Apjok, will compete in four championships this season, including the Six Nations B Championship and the Rugby Europe Trophy.

The full list of players selected for the Romania Rugby World Cup squad is as follows:
